Shannon “Shaggy” King has been fighting Muay Thai for the past 6 years starting in 2002 and turning pro only after his sixth fight. His impressive fight record stands at 20 fights, 18 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw and 11 ko’s and in 2007 he won the 73kg A1 World Title against a formidable Croatian opponent. Shaggy’s fight weight is 70kg, but is often found taking on much heavier opponents. Shaggy has fought both nationally and internationally including fighting in Japan, Hong Kong and Thailand and out of his 20 fights, 10 have been televised on Foxtel, 2 of which he was the Main Event, and a further 2 were televised on Hong Kong television.
Shaggy is a past Champion of the Powerhouse Fight Centre he has moved on from our stable to be run a great fight studio called Corporate Box http://www.corporateboxgym.com.au open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We wish him the very best success and will always be remembered fondly.
Shaggy is a guest trainer in the Week-end Warriors Programs held at Powerhouse several times a year.
